Below you will find a list of all the great programs Academy of Rock has to offer that includes class type, times, locations, and rates. To register for classes, please complete our ONLINE REGISTRATION form.
RATES:
AOR CORE PROGRAMS: $65/month for 2-hr weekly classes
AOR JR'S PROGRAM: $45/month for 1-hr weekly classes; $65/month for 2-hr weekly classes
AOR ADVANCED BLUES PROGRAM: $85/month for 3-hr weekly classes
AOR ADULT PROGRAM: $65/month for 2-hr weekly classes
AOR INDIVIDUAL LESSONS: $17 per 30-min lesson
AOR EXTRA PRACTICE/JAM: $15/wk per band **see Original Bands for details
MULTIPLE CLASS DISCOUNT: There is a 20% discount on ALL second classes or lessons per student/family, per semester. (Register for one class or lesson, get 20% off each additional class or lesson!)
SCHOLARSHIPS: Scholarships are available for qualifying students and are based on a sliding fee scale and the program's ability to fund the request. When signing up for Academy of Rock, you must pick a class that best fits your child’s age and ability level.
AOR JUNIORS (Grades K-5)
The AOR Juniors Program is for kindergarten thru 5th grade students, whether they are complete beginners or they have some experience with an instrument. Students in this program learn about the instruments and how to play selected songs as bands. Students will have the opportunity to perform their songs on-stage as a band.

AOR BEGINNERS (Grades 6-12)
The AOR Beginner Program is for students who are new to their instrument or new to playing in ensembles or bands. No experience or instrument is necessary. In this program, students will learn how to tune and care for each instrument, as well as the basics of equipment such as the amps and PA system. They will learn the fundamentals of music by playing songs from various rock sub-genres, in mixed groups of students. They will also perform live at concerts throughout the semester.
*Students who advance quickly in AOR Beginners will have the option to test out to a more challenging class.

AOR GUITAR CLUB
Dependent upon enrollment, the Academy of Rock will be offering an after school Guitar Club at Mickle Middle Schools. Students will learn to play guitar in a group setting by studying popular songs and performing live. This is a great class for anyone who plays or is interested in learning how to play guitar and/or sing. (Start date to be determined by CLC.)

AOR @ BRYAN COMMUNITY
The Academy of Rock will be offering a class at Bryan Community School. This class is open only to Bryan Community students.

AOR ADVANCED/NEXT LEVEL (Grades 6-12)
This program is for intermediate and advanced students who are NOT in Original Bands.
TNext Level classes give students the opportunity to play with other students who have moved past "beginner." There is no testing, but there will be an expectation level for these classes. These classes are a great way to meet other students to form an original band.

AOR BLUES
AOR Blues is offered by permission only to advanced AOR students. The program, taught at the legendary Zoo Bar, covers some of the greatest blues songs of all time from Chicago & Memphis Blues. Students will learn to play the greats such as Muddy Waters, Willie Dixon, and Jimmy Reed as well as some of the modern inspired blues of Stevie Ray Vaughn and Joe Bonamassa.

AOR ADULT
Because the kids can't have ALL the fun, the AOR Adult Program provides an opportunity for adults (age 18 and older) to learn songs and play concerts throughout the semester. All ability levels are welcome, from beginners who always dreamed of trying to play to the more experienced musicians who just want to get together and play some new stuff.

AOR ORIGINAL BANDS PROGRAM
The Original Bands Program allows advanced students a guided opportunity to form bands and learn together how to write and perform their original music. Instructors draw from their own experience touring and playing in bands to teach and mentor student bands in all aspects of the experience, from the creative challenges to the business challenges, as well as some of the interpersonal challenges involved. Original bands will also have the opportunity to record in the AOR studio!!!!!!!!
To enroll an Original Band, EACH MEMBER of the band must register in the Original Bands Program.

INDIVIDUAL LESSONS
Students may register for individual lessons in guitar, bass or drums.
Guitar/Bass: Our guitar/bass instructor, Andrew Liscom is an alumni of the first Academy of Rock class and the AOR Original Bands program. He has studied rock guitar and classical music theory. Guitar/bass lessons are offered Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday evenings. Please contact Bob@NFCLincoln.org for information on available times.
Drums: Brad Allison, our drum instructor, has a Bachelor's Degree in Performance Music from the University of Tennessee, and has played extensively in rock bands, pep bands, orchestras, and musical theater.
